AI Video Agent Library
Alocity offers a variety of pre-built AI Video Agents designed to make your cameras smarter and your spaces more secure, safe, and efficient. Each agent applies a specific type of intelligence to a camera feed — from spotting an intruder to counting how many people pass through a lobby. Below is the full library, organized by category.
To learn how to assign any of these agents to a camera, see Configuring AI Video Agents in Alocity.
Core Detection Settings
The foundational agents that most other detection types build on; identifying what and who is in view.
Object Detection Detects and tracks people, vehicles, and animals in the camera view. This is the baseline layer of intelligence that many other agents (like Intrusion or Vehicle Counting) rely on to know what's moving through a scene.
Face Recognition Detects and identifies people by recognizing their faces on camera. Useful for confirming the identity of known individuals, such as employees, residents, or flagged visitors.
License Plate Recognition Detects and logs known or unknown license plates as vehicles pass through the camera view. Helpful for gate access logs, parking enforcement, and general vehicle traffic records.
Person of Interest Detects and tracks specific people of interest in the camera view. Once a person is flagged, this agent will alert your team if they reappear on any connected camera.
License Plate of Interest Detects and tracks specific license plates of interest in the camera view. Ideal for watchlists — banned visitors, stolen vehicles, or VIPs who need to be flagged the moment they arrive.
Security & Intrusion
Agents focused on unauthorized access and suspicious presence.
Intrusion/Trespassing Detection Alerts your team when a person, vehicle, or animal enters a restricted area. Perfect for after-hours zones, fenced perimeters, rooftops, or any space that should stay empty.
Loitering Identifies individuals lingering too long in sensitive zones. This agent helps surface suspicious behavior before it escalates — for example, someone repeatedly circling a building entrance or standing near a cash office.
Operations & Business Intelligence
Agents that turn everyday foot traffic into actionable operational data.
People Counting Tracks how long people stay in certain zones, giving you visibility into space utilization and traffic patterns.
People Queue Monitoring Tracks wait times, queue lengths, and movement speed for people. Great for identifying bottlenecks at checkouts, front desks, or service counters.
Unattended Workstation Triggers an alert when a workstation or staffed area is left unattended for too long — useful for compliance-sensitive posts like guard desks, reception, or cash handling stations.
People Dwell Time Analysis Tracks how long people stay in certain zones, helping you understand engagement, congestion, or unusual behavior in a given area.
Heatmaps Shows where people spend the most time using color-coded maps based on movement and activity. A quick visual way to understand traffic patterns across a space over time.
Vehicle Monitoring
A dedicated set of agents for tracking and managing vehicle activity.
Vehicle Counting Counts and logs the number of vehicles entering or exiting a zone — useful for parking utilization and traffic reporting.
Wrong Way Detection Triggers alerts when a vehicle moves in the wrong direction within a lane or designated path, helping prevent accidents in parking garages, loading docks, or one-way drives.
Vehicle Idle Time Detects when a vehicle stays parked or idling in a zone longer than a defined threshold — useful for enforcing loading zone limits or flagging suspicious parked vehicles.
Stop Sign Violation Detects when a vehicle fails to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, supporting traffic safety enforcement on private roads and campuses.
Sidewalk Vehicle Detection Detects scooters, motorcycles, or bicycles driving on sidewalks or pedestrian-only zones, helping protect pedestrian safety in mixed-use areas.
Vehicle Queue Monitoring Tracks wait times, queue lengths, and movement speed for vehicles — ideal for drive-thrus, gate entries, and toll or checkpoint lanes.
Vehicle Dwell Time Analysis Tracks how long vehicles stay in certain zones, useful for monitoring parking duration limits or loading dock turnover.
Safety & Compliance
Agents built to reduce injury risk and support regulatory compliance.
Fall Detection Automatically detects falls to enable fast response and reduce injury risk — especially valuable in senior living communities, healthcare facilities, and warehouses.
Crowd Density Monitoring Detects when the number of people in a space exceeds safe or expected limits, supporting occupancy compliance and crowd safety management.
PPE Compliance Monitors for adherence to safety regulations, such as OSHA standards, helping ensure personal protective equipment (hard hats, vests, etc.) is being worn where required.
Threat Detection
High-priority agents for identifying immediate physical threats.
Gun & Weapon Detection Identifies visible firearms or dangerous objects in the camera view, enabling the fastest possible alert and response for active threat situations.
Agent Line Groups
Agents such as People Counting and Vehicle Counting can be combined across multiple camera streams and and lines of detection to have one unified count.
