Door Contact

Door Contact/Door Open Timeout Settings

Adding a door contact will allow the system to know when the door opens and closes, and provides the ability to notify when a door was broken into or if the door was left opened.
If you are adding a door contact sensor, here you can configure the settings.

  1.  Select Doors from the menu
  2.  Select the door/device from the list
  3.  Go to the Settings Tab
  4.  From the Door Contact position dropdown list, select the following:
None- If no door contact will be used
Internal - If you are going to connect the door contact to the F3D100’s input.
External - if you are going to connect the door contact to the external Alocity I/O controller.
  5.  Next select the door contact type from the dropdown list.
    a. Normally Open - Is a contact that does not flow current in its normal state. Energizing it and switching it on will close the contact, causing it to allow current flow.
    b. Normally Closed - Is a contact that flows current in its normal state. Energizing it and switching it on will open the contact, causing it to not allow current flow.
  6.  To save click on update.

Set the door open timeout - this is the time allowed for the door to remain open when a user is authenticated and allowed access.

  1.  Select Doors from the menu
  2.  Select the door/device from the list
  3.  Go to the Settings Tab
  4.  In seconds, set the maximum allowed time for the door to stay opened before sounding an alarm and sending notification.
