Door Contact/Door Open Timeout Settings
Adding a door contact will allow the system to know when the door opens and closes, and provides the ability to notify when a door was broken into or if the door was left opened.
If you are adding a door contact sensor, here you can configure the settings.
- Select Doors from the menu
- Select the door/device from the list
- Go to the Settings Tab
- From the Door Contact position dropdown list, select the following:
None- If no door contact will be used
Internal - If you are going to connect the door contact to the F3D100’s input.
External - if you are going to connect the door contact to the external Alocity I/O controller. - Next select the door contact type from the dropdown list.
a. Normally Open - Is a contact that does not flow current in its normal state. Energizing it and switching it on will close the contact, causing it to allow current flow.
b. Normally Closed - Is a contact that flows current in its normal state. Energizing it and switching it on will open the contact, causing it to not allow current flow. - To save click on update.
Set the door open timeout - this is the time allowed for the door to remain open when a user is authenticated and allowed access.
- Select Doors from the menu
- Select the door/device from the list
- Go to the Settings Tab
- In seconds, set the maximum allowed time for the door to stay opened before sounding an alarm and sending notification.
