[I/O Controller Installation (F3D100)](https://help.alocity.com/knowledge/f3d100-installation-setup-and-configuration-guide?hsLang=en#i-o-controller-installation-f3d100) # I/O Controller Pairing ## How to pair an I/O Controller with an Alocity F3D100 Reader   **Pairing Secure I/O Controller:** Follow these easy-to-understand steps to pair your Secure I/O Controller with the Alocity F3D100 Reader: 1. Ensure that the RS485 and power source connections have been completed according to the wiring instructions. 2. Connect the power source to the I/O Controller. 3. With the I/O Controller powered on, use a pin to press the reset button for 3 seconds. (Refer to the image below for the reset button location.) 4. When done correctly, the I/O Controller's LED will start blinking, indicating that the reset process has been initiated. 5. The I/O Controller will reboot, and the red power light should begin blinking red, signaling that it has been successfully paired with the Alocity F3D100 Reader.
