Suggested prompts by category:**  allows easier navigation to prompt more effectively - **2. Proactive insights.** when you open AIMEE, it surfaces items worth acting on, such as active users with no credential enrolled, active users with no schedule assignment, or schedules missing users or doors. Each comes with a one-click Ask Aimee follow-up. - **3. Message box:** attach an image to a question, or dictate it with voice input. **Additional Features**  - **Side panel:** AIMEE opens as a panel from anywhere in the platform instead of taking over the page. You can change its layout or close it without losing your place. - **# mentions:** reference specific doors, users, sites, and other records directly in your message. - **Conversation history** is grouped by recency, so recent work is easy to find. - **Upgraded:**  AIMEE is faster, smarter, proactive, and more useful than ever before.     --- ### **Access Control** ###### **Doors** and **Hardware** are now two separate Pages The Devices page has been split into two dedicated pages so that physical openings and the equipment behind them are managed in their own places. - **Doors** is where you create and manage physical openings. Each door shows its type, the hardware behind it, its door and lock state, and its site. Use the row menu to unlock, rename, resync, or delete a door. *![doors](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/doors.png?width=635&height=333&name=doors.png)* 1. **Type:** built-in (Embedded) doors vs doors on Mercury panels 2. **Hardware:** which panel and port each door is connected to 3. **Door status:** alerts such as Forced Entry --- - **Hardware** is where you manage equipment, with a tab for each type: access controllers (ACUs), video readers, and intercoms. Each tab shows a live count so you can see at a glance what is online. Select any device to open its detail view for further configuration. *![hardware](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/hardware.png?width=635&height=240&name=hardware.png)* 1. **Hardware tabs:** ACUs, Video Readers, Intercoms, Wireless Locks 2. **Summary cards:** online ACUs, subpanels, doors mapped 3. **Add ACU:** where to start setting up new hardware > **Terminology change: “Device” is now “Door.”** Wherever the platform refers to a physical opening, including the dashboard, Zones, and Access Logs, it now uses **Door** instead of **Device**. --- ### **Door-first setup wizard** Creating a door is now a guided five-step process: **Name & Site**, **Controller**, **Assign hardware**, **Reader & lock options**, and **Test**. Readers, locks, and I/O now attach to the door, rather than the other way around. - **Door type:** choose Single (entry only), In/Out (two readers), or Mantrap pair. - **Zones:** assign a primary zone and, if needed, a secondary zone. At least one zone is required. - **Hardware path:** choose a Mercury panel (reader wired to an LP/MP controller through a subpanel) or an Alocity Video Reader (reader and controller in one device). - **Door name:** the name you enter is what users see in events, mobile prompts, and access groups. *![create-door](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/create-door.png?width=635&height=417&name=create-door.png)* 1. **The five-step setup:** Name & site → Controller → Assign hardware → Reader & lock options → Test 2. **Hardware path:** Mercury panel or Alocity Video Reader 3. **Continue:** only turns on once the required fields are filled in --- ### **Mercury panel integration** - Add Mercury MP1502 and LP4502 controllers by MAC address directly from **Hardware › ACUs**. **Subpanels are pulled in automatically.** - View each panel’s model, serial number, firmware version, TLS encryption status, site, subpanel count, and mapped-door count. - Obtain a Detailed wiring Diagram base don how the Software is mapped found under "Advanced". - Summary tiles show online ACUs, online subpanels, and how many of your doors are mapped to hardware. - Resync a panel at any time, or download a wiring diagram for an individual ACU as a PDF. *![device-topology](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/device-topology.png?width=635&height=353&name=device-topology.png)* 1. **Bus topology:** the controller and each subpanel, with their address, firmware and **match status automatically via Bus Discovery** 2. **Board ports:** readers, inputs and relay outputs, showing which door uses each one and which are free 3. **Sizing tip:** recommends extra subpanels based on how many doors you've configured --- ### **Elevator Control** You can now grant users access to specific floors. Elevator Control is configured from the new ACU page, where administrators can map floors, configure them, and grant access to specific users. Floors can also be assigned as privileges within Schedules. > **Licensed feature.** Elevator Control is a licensed feature. It's grayed out when a schedule is already keeping the door unlocked. 3. **Event video:** play the clip for any access event --- ### **Schedules** Schedules now include search and advanced filtering. Privileges can also be set for elevator floors ![schedule](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/schedule.png?width=635&height=378&name=schedule.png) 1. **When:** time, repeat days, start and end dates, and holidays 2. **Who:** apply the schedule to individual users or to groups 3. **Where:** choose doors or elevator floors --- ### **Zones** Zones now list primary and secondary **doors** rather than devices, and include a search box. --- ### **Reporting** ##### Access logs - Search across the access log to quickly find a person, door, or serial number. - The Device column and Device Name filter are now labeled **Door**, and the door ranking chart is titled to match. - A **Back** button returns you to Reports without using the browser. ##### Alerts - Mute all alerts for the account with a single control, which is useful during commissioning, testing, or maintenance. - Each alert rule now shows its mute status, and the rules table can be filtered and paged. ---   ### **Video Security** ### AiVR appliance tools The AiVR detail view has been rebuilt and now covers camera streams, storage, bandwidth, and appliance health. *![aivr-cameras](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/aivr-cameras.png?width=635&height=369&name=aivr-cameras.png)* 1. **Stream health at a glance:** see used camera slots, plus how many cameras are streaming, degraded or offline. 2. **Filter and search:** filter cameras by status, or search by name, IP, MAC address or zone. 3. **Camera cards:** each camera shows a live preview with its resolution, zone, IP, port and the date it was added. --- ### Camera Streams - Live thumbnails for every connected camera, with live and recording indicators and the codec and resolution in use. - Slot capacity at a glance: how many of the appliance’s camera slots are in use and how many remain. - Streaming, degraded, and offline counts, plus the appliance’s current average upload and download throughput. - Search and filter by name, IP address, MAC address, or zone, and switch between grid and list views. - Scan the network to discover cameras. *![aivr-camera-settings](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/aivr-camera-settings.png?width=537&height=492&name=aivr-camera-settings.png)* 1. **Settings tabs:** manage Stream, Recording, AI Agents, License Plate Access and Privacy for each camera. 2. **Stream details:** view and copy the stream and inference URLs, MAC address and manufacturer. 3. **Zone assignment:** assign the camera to a zone with one click. --- ### Storage - Select whether you want storage set to the Cloud, NAS, or on  your AiVR device. - See how much on-device storage is used, your daily ingest volume, and roughly how many days of video are held locally. - A storage pipeline view shows how footage moves from the appliance to the cloud or NAS. The appliance side shows drive temperature, wear, disk load, available space, and write rate. The cloud/NAS side shows retention window, sync state, and yesterday’s upload volume. - Video upload lag shows how far the cloud/NAS copy is behind what your cameras are recording right now. - Yesterday’s storage is broken down by camera, with per-camera bitrate and encoder recommendations. When a camera uses a disproportionate amount of space, the system flags it and suggests a specific fix (for example, switching from H.264 to H.265 with a recommended bitrate cap), with a direct link to that camera’s configuration. *![aivr-storage](https://help.alocity.com/hs-fs/hubfs/aivr-storage.png?width=635&height=360&name=aivr-storage.png)* 1. **Storage summary:** used space, daily ingest, days of video stored locally, and overall health. 2. **Storage pipeline:** follow footage from the device's local drive to the cloud, including cloud retention and uploads. 3. **Cloud upload lag:** see how far the cloud copy is behind what the cameras are recording right now --- ### Bandwidth Alongside the existing averages, peaks, trend chart, and weekly heatmaps, you can now switch the view between hourly values, average Mbps, and total GB transferred. --- ### Appliance details The appliance overview has been redesigned. The model, port count, copyable serial number, connection state, and the reboot, health check, and update controls are now all in one place. --- ### Find Similar Faces / Person of Interest Under **Video Security › People**, you can now search face events by an already-enrolled user or POI name, in addition to uploading an image.
