      AI Search Module

      Investigate activity across all cameras using AI-powered search terms

      The AI Search module allows you to conduct fast investigations across all your recorded footage using natural language search terms. This article walks you through how to access and use each search tab: General, Faces, and License Plates.

      Accessing the AI Search Module

      1. Navigate to the left-hand menu of the Alocity Control Center.

      2. Click on "AI Search" under the Cameras section.

      Once opened, you will see three tabs at the top: General, Faces, and License Plates.

      1. General Tab

      Use the General tab to search across all cameras using open-ended search terms. Type what you're looking for in the search bar, such as:

      • "Red sedan"

      • "Person wearing blue hoodie"

      • "Forklift"

      The results will display snapshots captured by the system matching the description. To view the recorded footage, click on the snapshot to open the full clip.

      You can also filter results by site, camera, and time range.

      Note: This feature is constantly under development. While results are already functional, only a limited number of search terms are currently supported. We continuously expand the search terms, if you need an updated search term list please submit a ticket.

      2. Faces Tab

      The Faces tab displays all face detections captured by the system. You can:

      • Filter by All Faces or Person of Interest (POI)

      • Use the Add POI button to register a person of interest by uploading a photo and providing a name.

      Click on any face to open the associated clip. This is especially useful for tracking individuals across different locations and timeframes.

      Click on the three dots icon to download the image or ad a person of interest from the snapshot captured by the camera.

      You can also search for POIs by name and apply filters by camera, site, and date.

      3. License Plates Tab

      This tab shows all detected license plates. Enter any string of characters in the search bar to locate partial or full plate matches, such as:

      • "RD***"

      • "534W**"

      Results are shown as plate thumbnails. Hover over the thumbnail to see a preview or click to open the associated video clip.

      You can refine the results using site, camera, and time range filters.

      With AI Search, reviewing video is faster and more precise. As we expand our AI library, expect even greater accuracy and more search term support.
