G. Alocity AI Security and Intrusion Agents

Intrusion/Trespassing Detection and Loitering

Security and Intrusion agents watch restricted areas and alert you when someone enters where they shouldn't or stays too long.

All agents in this article are configured in Settings (⚙ in the top bar) › AI Video Agent. For how to draw zones and lines, set schedules and activate cameras, see AI Agent Configuration Types: Area, Line and Whole Frame. To be notified when an agent detects something, see AI Alerts.

1. Intrusion/Trespassing Detection

Alerts when a person, vehicle or animal enters a restricted area.

  • Configuration type: Area
  • Settings: Object classes Person, Vehicle and Animals; schedule (for example, after hours only)
  • Common uses: Fence lines, rooftops, server rooms, closed lots and construction sites after hours
  • Camera tips: Use a Precision Reference Point at the bottom of the object so only feet entering the zone trigger an alert. Check night IR performance.

2. Loitering

Identifies individuals lingering too long in sensitive zones.

  • Configuration type: Area
  • Settings: Time: how long someone must stay before the agent triggers.
  • Common uses: Entrances, ATMs, stairwells, parking structures and the back of retail stores
  • Camera tips: Draw the zone tightly around the sensitive spot so people passing through don't count.

3. Setting Up an Agent

  1. Click Settings (⚙ in the top bar) › AI Video Agent and click the agent's card.
  2. Click an unconfigured camera in the camera grid.
  3. Draw the zone or line, or click Activate for whole-frame agents.
  4. Set the zone options and the schedule, then click Save.
  5. Click the bell on the configured camera to create an alert.
