Configuring the Directory Module to Call Residents on Their Phone
The Directory module allows the system to call a resident directly on their mobile phone or landline through an interactive directory displayed on the AI-1000 intercom via the leasing button or the FD3100 Intelligent Reader via the doorbell button. This setup ensures that residents can receive calls without the need to download the Alocity 1iD app.
To Set Up a Directory Entry for Residents:
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Directory option.
- Click on 'Add Entry' to begin the process.
- Choose the resident user who will receive the call from the dropdown menu (ensure the user's phone number is correctly entered in their profile).
- Configure the Unit Type by selecting the appropriate option to determine where the calls will be routed.
- Input the corresponding number for the unit.
- Select the appropriate Site from the dropdown menu where the entry will be active.
- Under Call Type, select Mobile Phone/Landline.
- Confirm all details are correct and click 'Save' to finalize the entry.
Instructions for Residents Receiving Calls on Their Phone:
- When the intercom calls the resident, they will answer the call like any regular phone call.
- To grant access to a visitor, the resident must press 9 on their phone’s dial pad.
