      Quick Start Guide AI-1000 Smart Intercom

      How to set up and configure your AI-1000 Smart Intercom hardware and software for immediate use

      Please note that the installation of your Alocity AI-1000 Smart Intercom should be performed by a professional technician. The following instructions are intended for experienced users who wish to set up the Alocity System quickly and efficiently, typically for testing purposes. These instructions do not provide all the information required for a full-fledged installation and configuration of the system.

      Quick Start Instructions

      Follow these steps to guide you through a quick setup of your Alocity System:

      1. Before You Start:
        Review the Getting Started with your AI-1000 Intercom guide. This document provides information on system and tool requirements, as well as recommendations before installation. Ensure you meet all Network Requirements in the installation location. Testing the network before installation helps avoid unnecessary troubleshooting.

      2. Installing the AI-1000 Intercom:
        Refer to How to Install the AI-1000 Intercom for detailed physical installation instructions. Learn how to mount the device securely on a wall or gang box under normal conditions.

      3. Wiring Diagrams:
        Follow the AI-1000 Wiring Diagram to connect the device to accessories such as controllers and power sources for proper operation.

      4. Getting Started with Alocity Control Center:
        Review What You Need to Start with Alocity Control Center to understand the software setup process. You must have an active Alocity Control Center account and your device provisioned to the account. Follow the steps to create an account and provision your device in the system. If the account owner is unavailable to perform the initial setup, contact Alocity Support or your account manager for assistance.

      5. Setting Up the System:

        1. Create Your First Group: Follow the steps in the Group Management Guide to create or manage access groups.

        2. Create a Schedule: Refer to the Adding Schedules Guide to define times for doors to remain accessible. Make sure the AI-1000 device is included in the schedule.

        3. User Setup: Add or locate users in the system using the User Management Guide.

        4. Assign Credentials: Follow the steps in the Managing Credentials Guide to add or modify user credentials, such as mobile keys or directory entries for intercom access.

        5. Directory Setup: Follow the steps in the this guide to setup the intercom to call a user via the Alocity 1id app or follow this guide to setup the intercom to call users directly to their phone number (audio only)

      6. Testing the System:
        Perform an access test to ensure proper functionality. If the device does not work as intended, contact Alocity Support or your account manager for assistance
